Neighborhood Watch at Parkmerced

Last Wednesday (March 16, 2016) in collaboration with residents, Irina of SF S.A.F.E., the SFPD, Supervisor Norman Yee’s office, and Parkmerced, we hosted our first official “Neighborhood Watch” meeting.

Firstly, we would like to thank our residents for encouraging this meeting to take place and Irina for moderating. We greatly appreciate the care and attention to our neighborhood. The purpose of connecting members of our community with security experts is to help mold an even stronger watchful presence around our neighborhood and to bring residents together to help make our community feel even safer than it already is. Parkmerced is here as a partner and to support this initiative in any way we are able. We commit to continuing to work together with the SFPD and SF State Police to help make our community safer overall.

We have created a Neighborhood Watch distribution list to communicate efficiently between the residents that have volunteered their time and energy and have committed to support this cause. We welcome further involvement from the community as well. If you missed this meeting and would like to be involved, please do not hesitate to write Donna Stern: and let us know of your interest to help.

Many topics were discussed during last week’s meeting. From questions about the video camera present on property, to adding nametags to our construction team on property, we feel we have gained a great sense of many residents’ concerns.

We are thrilled to have begun collaborating with our best asset, our residents, and look forward to continued work making our neighborhood safer.

Please let us know if you may be interested in attending the next meeting by writing us and letting us know how you would like to be involved.
