San Francisco Marathon

The San Francisco Marathon features one of the most picturesque 26.2-mile routes in the world. Every year, thousands of racers take to the streets on a course that takes them by Fisherman’s Wharf, AT&T Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge, through parts of Golden Gate Park, and along the Pacific Ocean. If 26.2 miles seems like a bit much, they also have two half-marathons and a 5K run/walk. Or if 26.2 miles seems insufficiently challenging, you could always start training for the 53.4-mile ultramarathon.
